How to Get Started with Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is an age old concept with a new twist. If you have ever recommended a product or service to someone, you already completed half of the task. The other half that is different in Affiliate Marketing is you getting paid for the referral.

Affiliate Marketing doesn’t have to be complicated. For example, if I bought a new product and raved about it to my friends, they might buy it too. Affiliate Marketing just requires an extra step, but it is a profitable one. Instead of just telling my friends about my new product experience, what if I created a blog about it, or posted about it on my own personal blog or even my Facebook wall? I could sign-up as an affiliate for Amazon, who sells just about anything, and create a special link to use.

Now when someone reads my product review, they can easily click a link to view the product and possibly buy one for themselves. If they do, I can collect a small commission from Amazon. That is how to get started with Affiliate Marketing.
